Who is

Jim (Actually Loren Jim)

My father was a farmer from Nebraska (his grandparents were written up as pioneers and his mother’s side of the family in the first book of the Daughters of the American Revolution). He died when I was 3 of lung cancer.

My mother was from just outside Memphis (not on the Nile, Ha!) Her parents were farmers and owned the first Ford dealership in Memphis. They were quite wealthy. They lost all when the stock market crashed. My mom went into real estate after my dad died and had her own office with numerous sales people working for her. She passed in 97. I took care of her the last few weeks of her life, myself. She died at my ranch. My children and I carried her to the Funeral car and were her pall bearers. I was born in Los Angeles and attended a Baptist Day School and then Military Academies. I lived in Graceland, for a while skipping my senior year graduating at 16 and going to college at barely 17. I taught myself electronics as a child. I got my Amateur Radio License (Ham Radio). I went into the Air Force and tested through electronics school in 3 days and became a teacher. I entered civilian life as a senior Research and Development Technician at AeroJet General, in Azusa California building spy satalites and such. Hughes Aircraft sent me to Israel to head up a military project there. I learned to speak Hebrew there. (I also know my Hail Mary which is not bad for a Baptist.) I obtained a teaching credential for upper level electronics and computer design. I taught college and set up electronics classes in California high schools and Jr. Colleges. Hitachi moved me to the Bay Area (Los Gatos) to put together their engineering team when they entered the US Semiconductor market. For the last number of years, I was introduced at seminars as one of the top computer designers in the world. I would teach advanced computer design, using next generation devices to the world’s brightest Senior Engineers and scientists. I bought 154 acres in Northern California and designed a home (almost every board in it, windows and all) sold it last year. Living now in paradise but not feeling that way as I now feel what I am missing without a partner to share life with. I am a real romantic, giver and pleaser. I long for the lady that wants a man with impeccable manners, (not a man that opened a door for a girl once on a first date in high school), a real romantic, sentimental in nature (caring with deep feelings), that is accomplished in life personally and professionally, tolerant of others, patriotic and a veteran, a man that has been known for great acts of kindness, public service, that truly loves to please and wants peace.
